Riveter Consulting Group is now hiring a Procurement Specialist, in Fort Worth, Texas. As the Procurement Specialist, you will periodically work with the company directors and ownership. The Procurement Specialist will report to the Procurement Manager.
The Procurement Specialist is responsible for acquiring the various supplies and identifying proper vendors to achieve company goals. The person filling this position work alongside another procurement specialist jointly looking to locate suppliers, negotiate purchasing agreements, and ensure products and services meet company specifications.
The Procurement Specialist must be self-motivated, enjoy working with others, have outstanding communication skills (written and verbal), and have close attention to detail. The ability to build professional relationships with vendors while maintaining a company-centric focus is essential.
In this role, the Procurement Specialist’s primary job responsibilities include:
- Actively work on procurement projects
- Solicit and award bids
- Escort vendors and hold them accountable
- Prioritize and assign procurement activities
- Ensure all company procurement needs are tracked
- Provide weekly procurement updates
- Maintain and continually update vendor lists to provide best options for company projects
- Negotiate best pricing for materials and services
- Draft and issue RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, and informal requests for services/materials
- Serve on committee to review bids
- Communicate with vendors to ensure swift delivery of products/services
- Purchase and track needed supplies
- Receive ordered products
- Ensure accuracy of orders and condition of received items

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (Qualifications):
- Minimum of two years’ experience in procurement of products and services
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Logistics or Supply Management is preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Analytical and problem solving skills
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is desirable
