Riveter Consulting Group is assisting an Ultra High Networth client in Cleveland, OH in their search for a new Personal Chef to join their team. This is an amazing growing team; there are currently 3 chefs, and they’re looking to add 2 more. The client spends some months in the Hamptons, where chefs will stay on a separate property for some weeks.
The ideal candidate knows how to develop menus to meet the meal preferences and restrictions of our clients, including gluten free. Additionally, the chef should be able to shop for ingredients, order food and supplies and check ingredients for freshness and quality.
The candidate should demonstrate top-notch culinary skills and should have an eye for detail and be familiar with various cuisine styles and kitchen equipment. The candidate must be adaptable and work well under pressure.Must be flexible and even tempered, with the ability to manage last minute changes.
This is a silent role, and the chefs do not communicate directly with the principal. There’s a kitchen off-site, designated for the chefs to be creative and innovative. Meals are delivered to the client by the driver.
Schedule
4 days on, 3 days off (set days off)
Around 7:30 am- 8:00 am through 7pm to 7:30 PM
Leave once the kitchen is clean and inventory lists are completed
Responsibilities:
- Cook for 2-6 people maximum per day (No huge parties or events)
- Communicating with point of contact to clients to determine their food preferences and dietary restrictions
- Preparing and presenting customized meal plans for approval
- Ensuring to take note of any food allergies or meal preparation specifications from clients
- Order ingredients and other materials needed for meal preparation
- Reviewing ingredients and other packaged food products to check for quality and consumption date
- Adhering to the food, safety, and hygiene standards always
- Cleaning and maintaining the workstation before and after every meal preparation
- Providing clients, the instructions on the consumption of certain food items
- Planning and sending meals to clients on time
- Washing, cleaning, and sanitizing cooking equipment and utensils
- Monitor food stock, equipment and tools and place orders
- Slightly modify recipes to meet clients’ needs and requests (e.g. reduce salt, remove dairy)
Requirements:
- Proven work experience in the Hospitality industry as a Personal Chef, Chef, Cook, or a similar role
- Professional Culinary training or certification is desirable
- Knowledge of a variety of dietary lifestyles and restrictions
- Ability to cook different types of cuisines, baking and pastry techniques
- Complete knowledge of industry, safety, and hygiene standards
- Good management and organizational skills
- Willingness to work flexible hours
- Excellent communication skills and team player
- Ability to remain calm and undertake various fluctuations
- Excellent time management abilities
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Compensation
$150k + Benefits- Medical, dental, vision, 401k (don’t match), 3 weeks PTO + relocation package if needed + 2 months of hotel stay and rental car until a candidate gets situated in the new location
