Riveter Consulting Group is seeking a proactive, mature, and professional Family Assistant to support a busy household in Charlotte, NC. The Family Assistant will work closely with the Chief of Staff to provide reliable support to the family, helping ensure seamless daily operations. The ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude, take joy in their work, and be adaptable to meet the principal’s high standards for household management. Additionally, there will be a flexible schedule with occasional split shifts for school drop off & pick up. The schedule will change depending on the child’s activities. The CoS will fill in some mornings so the family assistant isn’t doing too many a week and the bulk of the shift will be late afternoon to evening.

Schedule

  • Monday through Friday with flexible hours based on the day’s activities:
    • Split-shift days: 6:45 a.m. – 8/9:00 p.m.
    • General hours: 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m., or 10:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m., depending on needs of principal
  • Occasional weekends may be required, but accommodations can be made if this is a conflict

Key Responsibilities:

  • Childcare: Provide light, structured childcare for one child (age 12), including:
    • School drop-offs and pick-ups twice weekly, plus after-school transportation to extracurricular activities
    • Preparing breakfast and cooking dinner for the child
    • Act as a supportive and positive presence during scheduled care hours
  • Pet Care: Shared responsibilities for the care of two Havanese dogs (60%):
    • Manage grooming appointments, daily walks, and general care, transitioning gradually into full duties
  • Household Support:
    • Run errands such as grocery shopping, mid-day pickups, and light vendor coordination

Travel Requirements:

Optional travel abroad with the family for short periods of time over the summer is greatly appreciated. Travel may be for 2-weeks at a time with weekends off

Compensation & Benefits

Starting at $85,000, DOE, Work vehicle will be provided while on duty
